Lynly Beard is the new School of Social Work liaison librarian at the UW Health Sciences Library. Lynly received her master’s in library and information science (MLIS) from the University of Washington in 2008 and her MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business in 1985. Lynly worked at Veritox in Redmond, Wash. where she served as technical research librarian for seven years, then at the UW Health Sciences User Experience group for two years.

“I so look forward to working with the faculty and staff at the School,” says Lynly. “I can help with literature searches as well as provide citation-manager assistance for researchers. I’m also available to teach library-related skills to social work classes, identify high-impact journals for publishing research, and consult on open-access issues.”

Lynly also encourages research faculty to register for a free ORCID. This is a unique identifier that can be used to link research activities, affiliations and awards. You can contact Lynly at lynly@uw.edu or 206-543-9267. Her main office is in Health Sciences Building, T219, but she will have office hours in the Research Commons.
