T. Ron Jackson
Ron Jackson has worked as a clinician, administrator, educator, researcher and consultant in the field of addiction treatment since 1972. He is the former executive director of Evergreen Treatment Services, a private nonprofit organization that provides outpatient opioid treatment to more than 2,000 patients in Seattle, Olympia and Hoquiam, Washington. The organization also provides street-based harm-reduction case management services to the homeless through the REACH Program and to inviduals involved in the criminal justice system through the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion or LEAD program in Seattle.
In the past two decades, Jackson has led numerous research projects, investigating medication assisted treatment, motivational enhancement/interviewing and cognitive-behavioral interventions and acupuncture interventions for opiate-, cocaine- and marijuana-dependent individuals. During the period 2001–11 he was the co-principal investigator for the Washington node of National Institute on Drug Abuse’s Clinical Trials Network.
