Briefing congressional staffers

On Nov. 9, the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in Haaland v. Brackeen which challenges the 1978 Indian Child Welfare Act. In Sept., Associate Professor Angelique Day co-led a Capitol Hill briefing exploring consequences if the act is ruled unconstitutional.

2022 CARL TAUBE AWARD

Mental health research pioneer

David T. Takeuchi, School’s associate dean for faculty excellence, will receive the 2022 Carl Taube Award on Nov. 7 for lifetime contributions to mental health services research. The award from American Public Health Association recognizes his groundbreaking scientific work among Asian Americans.
