Experts in the field of prevention science will be speaking throughout the fall and into the winter as part of the “Leaders in Prevention Science” speaker series, hosted by the School’s Social Development Research Group. Faculty, staff and doctoral students are welcome to join.
The series will present the latest prevention science research and explore future trends in prevention. Each presentation will last about 1.5 hours, with the final 30 minutes allocated for questions and answers. Presentations will be held online via Zoom. The link will be sent to all those who register in advance or may be obtained by contacting Patricia Gomez at SDRG.
The series kick-off speaker is Will Aldridge, director of The Impact Center at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute and senior implementation specialist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Aldridge’s talk will be held Oct. 1, from 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
