Nicole Guenther recently joined the School of Social Work as our new BASW assistant program director. Welcome, Nicole!
Before joining the School of Social Work this fall, Nicole was assistant director of curriculum & student services at the UW Dream Project, a program to connect UW students with underrepresented high school students and help them navigate the college admissions process.
In August, Nicole earned a master of education in learning sciences and human development from the UW College of Education. In 2012, she received a BA in English language and literature, also from the University of Washington.
Nicole replaces Linda Ruffer who left the School after 13 years. Linda started her School career in the Student Services office before becoming assistant director for the BASW Program. In 2008, Linda received the School of Social Work staff award for her contributions, including career counseling and serivces for students. She was nominated for the UW Distinguished Staff Award, as well for her many years of unwavering dedication to social work students.
