Join the West Coast Poverty Center and the UW School of Social Work for a panel presentation spotlighting proposed changes in federal priorities and the impact those changes may have on the lives of Americans, especially the poor. This panel presentation brings together School of Social Work faculty and community leaders to discuss how these policies affect labor, environmental standards, health care, welfare and basic human needs for work, shelter and food.
The panel participants include social work faculty members Jennifer Romich and Gunnar Almgren along with community leaders Nicole Keenan, MSW '11 (Fair Work Center), Aiko Schaefer, MSW '00 (Communities of Color for Climate Justice), Andrew Lofton (Seattle Housing Authority) and Gordon McHenry, Jr. (Solid Ground)—with opening remarks by School of Social Work Dean Eddie Uehara.
Please join Dean Uehara and panel participants for appetizers, refreshments and conversation following the presentation. RSVP today!
