The Advancement team is developing a variety of engagement paths for alumni and friends to join with the School of Social Work in building networks, sharing stories and nurturing a new generation of social work leaders, innovators and practitioners.
Here are some opportunities for you to connect and engage with our dynamic community:
Become a field education instructor—Field education instructors make an invaluable contribution in helping students translate the social work values, skills and knowledge they learn in the classroom into real-world change. Consider joining our impact learning community by submitting your agency—or yourself—as field education site or instructor. For more information, contact Rachel Wrenn, Assistant Dean for Field Education.
Engage and educate students—Our faculty prize your experience as a social work professional. Diverse perspectives and real-world examples illustrate the social work challenge in ways that light up a classroom. Join our growing roster of classroom guest speakers and be the spark that ignites a social work student’s passion for change. To be a guest speaker, contact Madeline Galbraith in the Office of Academic Affairs.
Expand your professional network—Our growing LinkedIn network provides a robust platform for you to exchange career milestones, connect with other alums, both local and global, and share the latest ideas in social innovation and direct service. Join our other social media channels—Facebook, Twitter and Instagram—to stay connected and informed about upcoming events, the latest news and much more.
