The 2024 Staff & Faculty Recognition Event on June 4 at the Burke Museum was a well-attended and exciting celebration honoring everyone who makes the School of Social Work a leader in our field.
It’s also the occasion to announce the winner of the School’s highest staff honor: the Mary Grembowski Staff of the Year Award.
This year, we congratulate Mark Bello who has been added to the list of outstanding Grembowski staff award alumni, recognizing his exceptional contribution the School of Social Work community and his commitment to its social justice mission.
Mark earned his BA from the University of Washington in 2014 and joined the School in 2018. He serves as a program operations specialist in the Office of Field Education where he plays a key role in the OFE retreat and the School of Social Work Career Fair, among his many other administrative duties. His nomination letter reads: “Mark exemplifies patience, understanding, good judgment, positive attitude and the professionalism that characterize the Mary Grembowski Award.”
